In friendship
and girl, there is always the victory of the girl, this saying is common for
the confrontation of love and friendship and it is on this punchline that
writer-director Luv Ranjan has woven her new film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
Writer-director Luv Ranjan, who is famous for Pyaar Ka Panchnama series, has
preferred a fight between romance and bromance this time.
Tito (Sunny
Singh) is a boy who falls in love again and again, but his heart breaks every
time he gets caught by the wrong girl. Heartbroken when his childhood
brother-in-law friend Sonu (Karthik Aryan) not only gives him the shoulder to
cry, but also saves him from the clutches of the wrong girl. Sonu is raised by
the family of Titu after the passing away of his mother at the age of 13 and
considers the same family as his family. The family consists of Dada Ghasite
(Alok Nath), Dadi, Mummy, Papa and Mama (Virender Saxena).
All these
members love Sonu just like their son and heir. Fed up with the mess of love
and breakup, Tito finally decides to get married. Under the Orange marriage, he
has a relationship with Sweety (Nusrat Bharucha). Tito and the whole family
find Sweety the ideal and perfect girl for marriage, but Sonu, who played
Tito's mentor since childhood, feels that something is wrong. Sweety is a
perfect girl. She is a good daughter-in-law, a good daughter and a perfect
girlfriend.
How can she be
so good and perfect? Now he doesn't want Tito to marry Sweety. He fights all
the tricks to prove Sweety wrong and false. Sweety also gives Sonu the brick
answer with a stone, but is Sweety really a false and evil girl? Will Sweety
really win friendship and girl? You will have to watch the film to see it.
Like his
previous films, Luv Ranjan retains the flavor of comedy here too. The
flirtatiousness of his dialogues haunts many scenes and has become
entertaining. The characters added to the story are very funny. They keep the
audience engaged. Usually his films are from a male perspective. The
protagonists in his films are persecuted by heroines and the protagonist is
poor. This time too, Luv Ranjan, following the same tradition, depicts the
heroine in a traditional style, moving away from the traditional heroine, where
she tries to wager more than one, but her characterization does not justify why
she is so. And this thing still knocks you out of the cinema hall, but the
director has not bothered about this.
Karthik Aryan
as Sonu and Sunny Singh in the role of Titu have a strong aspect of bromance
and chemistry in the film. Karthik Aryan has made his character strong in every
way. Nusrat has given a good fight to Karthik as Sweety. Both of them have
become good at the scene of their passion. Nusrat has been beautiful, as well
as been in the forefront of acting. Sunny Singh plays his role effortlessly in
the role of Bhole-Bhale Titu. After a long time, Aloknath has appeared in his
old comic style as Dada. Artists such as Virender Saxena, Deepika Amin and Sonu
Kaur have gained considerable screen space, which they have taken advantage of
fiercely. Songs like 'Dil Chori', 'Sweety Slowly', 'Luck Mera Hit', 'Tera Yaar
Hoon Main' have become good in the presence of many musicians. His choreography
is also worth watching.
